I understand that the insurance terms, definitions and other information on this website is meant for general informational purposes and not meant as specific advice or recommendations. I understand that no coverage will be bound until I have received written confirmation from the John Scott Agency, Inc.

I understand that the John Scott Agency, Inc. will receive documentation of all service requests, requests for information or declination for additional information which may become part of my customer file.

I understand that the John Scott Agency, Inc. will process service requests based on information provided through this site, and that I will receive written confirmation of all changes to my coverage. I authorize all such changes, and assume the responsibility of notifying the John Scott Insurance Agency, Inc. in the event of errors or misunderstandings.

1.    Guarantee of privacy of client information and all privacy language.

 

2.    John Scott Agency, Inc. will handle service requests in good faith based on registration information. All service requests will be confirmed to the client and they must contact John Scott Insurance Agency, Inc. in case of error.

 

3.    The client is responsible for updating their email address and other information in the event of change.

 

4.    Insurance terms, descriptions of coverage and other insurance information is not meant to be complete, and the client should read their policy for complete information.

 

5.   All insurance and non-insurance information is for general purposes and may not be up-to-date or complete. The John Scott Agency, Inc. is not responsible for information in sites linked.

 

6.    No changes will be considered bound until the client has received written confirmation from the John Scott  Aency, Inc.

The John Scott Agency, Inc has always been committed to ensuring the confidentiality of the information it receives. Recently, Congress enacted the Financial Services Modernization Act, which requires that certain companies, including insurance agencies, inform their customers how personal information is collected or disclosed.  The John Scott Agency, Inc. maintains physical and electronic safeguards to protect the information we acquire, including restricting access about you to employees who need to know that information to provide you with products or to provide you with benefits or services we feel would be useful to our clients. We periodically review and test our systems to assess the strength of our security precautions.

Protecting your privacy is very important to us.  We collect and use “nonpublic personal information” about our customers to provide our customers with a broad range of insurance and financial services.  This Privacy Policy describes what we do with that information and how we protect it.  You do not need t take any action in response to this notice.  We are providing it to inform you of how we handle certain information that we collect.

 

What Information We Collect and From Whom We Collect It

We collect nonpublic personal information about you from:

 

·     Information we receive from you on applications other forms, such as your name, address, Social Security number, telephone number, assets, income, and insurance beneficiaries

“Nonpublic personal information” is nonpublic information about you that we obtain in connection with providing a financial product or service to you for personal, family or household purposes.  It does not include information available from government records, widely distributed media (such as phone books), or government mandated disclosures.  It also does not include health or medical information otherwise protected by state or federal law

 

What Information We Disclose and To Whom We Disclose It

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law.  For example, we may disclose nonpublic personal information about you in the following situations:

1.   To carry out a transaction that you request.

2.   To provide information to companies who perform services on our behalf to help us administer your insurance policies and adjust claims.

3.   To comply with a validly issued and enforceable subpoena or summons.

We may disclose all of the nonpublic personal information that we collect about you, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf, or to other financial institutions, such as insurance companies with whom we have joint marketing agreement.
